8 To You, Sappho

To You, Sappho

I look at the image and this is what I see;

You’re beautiful, you’re flawless

You’re everything I want to be

I take a step back

The world tells me you’re not

But your smile can’t lie to me

But why would it lie to everyone else?

So I look at the image, but don’t find much else

Am I blind to reality or did I choose to lose my sight?

You’re beautiful, you’re flawless

But what if you’re nothing at all…
