In the order of the chapters…

 

Sara Garza Gonzalez (she/her) is a sophomore at Pomona College and an international student from Tampico, Mexico. She is majoring in Psychological Science and minoring in Gender & Women’s Studies, two fields she believes cannot be fully understood without each other. She values spending time with the people she loves and laughing in carcajadas with them.

Ella Hale is a first-year at Pitzer College, with an expected major in International Political Economy. Ella is interested in delving deeper into the intricate dynamics between gender, race, and economics. Also, Ella can recite thirty digits of pi.

Mayeli Santos is a 2023 graduate of Claremont McKenna College. Mayeli majored in history and finished a sequence in Gender Studies. Mayeli has an interest in Latin American stories and has an immense curiosity about national historical memory. On weekends, you can find Mayeli at home reading books on her backyard swing.

María Juanita is a junior environmental analysis major from Bogota, Colombia, and South Florida. To her, storytelling is important. She loves to laugh and spread joy. 💖

Sofia Presser is a first-year student at Pitzer College originally from Chicago. Outside of school, she enjoys collaging, painting, and spending time with her friends and family. Thanks for learning a little more about her, and she hopes you enjoy her essay discussing Perónist organizations throughout Argentina!

Olivia Ivan is a first-year at Pitzer College. She is majoring in political studies and minoring in gender studies. She is a firm believer in education access and patience when making a change. She was born in Texas but lives in Washington where she enjoys kayaking, getting brunch with friends, and live music!

Melissa Cerimovic is a Bosnian first-generation Posse scholar and graduate of Pomona College with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. She is from Chicago. She loves to read, bake desserts for her family, cook, and dance.
